Born From Heritage
The farm’s story stretches back to the late 1800s, when the original tenants carved a homestead into the rugged bushveld which was later touched by the turbulence of the Anglo Boer War. The land still carries echoes of the past – old ruins, relics, and a sense of deep routed history that gives the farm it’s unmistakable character.
By the 1920s the Conroy family had taken over, shaping the farm through generations and nurturing it into the peaceful, wildlife-rich haven it is today. Their vision to share this special place with others led to the creation of the lodges, offering guests a stay grounded in heritage, natural beauty, and the quiet magic of a farm that feels timeless.
